When one looks to fill the position of Creative Director in any new venture, one thinks the ideal candidate would be some one who doesn’t think outside the box. They don’t know there is a box. For BKLYN Bit Labs, that person is Michael Ricca, a professional animator with years of experience bringing creativity to life for dozens of commercial products.
Tasked with primary character design and animation, Michael will help BKLYN Bit Labs’ flagship product reach new heights with his creative vision and professional experience. We’re looking forward to working with him over the next few months to help bring ideas into reality with a stunning art style and great sense of humor.

Michael Ricca Biography
Michael Ricca was most recently an Art Director at Saatchi & Saatchi, overseeing and executing character design and animation, motion graphics, compositing, and effects for ad campaigns and commercials for Cheerios, Lenovo, GoGurt, Kix and others. Prior to Saatchi & Saatchi, Michael worked at Room 5 Films and Little Airplane Productions. He earned a B.F.A. in 2008 in Animation from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

About Our Founders
Colin Andrew Ferm started his career during the 1990′s working on the Hot Coco website for the Contra Costa Times. He later went on to work at Wired, GovWorks (part of Startup.com) and TheStreet.com. Colin was a founding partner of 42 Solutions, LLC acting as the Senior Developer and Information Architect. Since helping found 42 Solutions, LLC in 2001, Colin has consulted at such diverse companies as Cablevision Systems Corporation, Klutz Toys and Edison Properties, LLC.
Daniel Kellner was named as a partner in 42 Solutions, LLC in 2007 acting as the Senior Interface Designer and Information Architect. He started his design career in the Creative Services & Marketing Department of the Marvel Entertainment Group while earning a B.A. in American History at Columbia University. Daniel then joined Bullseye Art, Ltd. where he served as the Senior Flash Developer and won an ID Design Silver Medal as well as two Daytime Emmy Nominations for Achievement in Main Title Design. He is also an Olympian, captain of the 2004 U.S. Olympic Men’s Foil Team, a seven-time member of the U.S. National Fencing Team, the 2004 U.S. Men’s Foil National Champion and was formerly ranked 1st in the U.S. and 10th in the world.
